Boston/Lexington Family Life Bus Trip, Oct 2006

continued.....

Napolean said "An Army marches on its stomach." Despite the fact that we were a tour group and not an army, we too needed to eat. So, after disembarking from our Duck, and giving Jailbird George a very gracious gratuity, we boarded our coach, and headed to Quincy Market.

It's Half Past Four and I'm Shiftin' Gears...

But before we get there, let's give a little thank-you to the person who drove our coach for the day. She never asked for a quack-quack, but she did her job expertly, efficiently and even managed to let us see a bit more of the Lexington/Concord area than we'd originally bargained for!

So, here's to Carolyn!

Our coach driver

"Keep your eyes on the road, your hands upon the wheel..."

Ring, ring goes the bell, the cook in the lunchroom's ready to sell...

And here is our stop:

Quicncy Market

So, we got off the bus, and many of the folks headed to Durgin Park, where they later reported that the crabcakes were excellent. My small band of travelers and I went to the Black Rose -- an authentic Irish Pub -- where I enjoyed a pint of Guiness and authentic Bangers and Mashed. But, since I was busy with all of that I didn't take any pictures. However, our intrepid tour director, at the aforementioned Durgin Park, did..... so, see how many Valley of Hartford folks YOU can identify....
