Second Annual 5K Road Race, July 24, 2010

The second annual 5K Road Race to support the 32° Learning Center for Children was held on Saturday, July 24, 2010 at the Valley of Hartford in Newington. The day was unusually hot and humid, and that fact alone held the field of runners to only 109 participants. However, the day was an unqualified success in spite of the weather.

Over 1000 bottles of water were chilled and on ice before the race began, and three newly purchased pop-up canopies provided some shade for the Valley volunteers who were registering runners. Fruit and baked goods were available for the runners.

Entertainment for the event was provided by our DJ, Charles Yohe, who also happens to be a Past Grand Master of Masons in Connecticut.
