On Saturday, July 25, 2009, the Valley of Hartford and the Family Life Committee are sponsoring the First Annual "Scottish Rite Freemasons 5k Run/Walk To Benefit Children With Dyslexia." This race, over a USA Track & Field certified course, beginning and ending at the Scottish Rite Cathedral, will use the latest electronic timing technology and will attract both experienced and novice runners and walkers.
The event will provide great positive exposure for our Valley, Scottish Rite Masonry and Freemasonry as a whole. All proceeds will benefit the 32nd Degree Learning Center for Children in Waterbury.

Additional activities will include a DJ providing music before and after the race, as well as a CT Chip event. Food will also be available.
